Historical Society's Mission

• The mission of the Mason County Historical Society is to discover, compile, preserve and publish the history of Mason County.
  

• Our downtown museum maintains an extensive archive of historical materials, including photos, newspapers, letters, diaries, periodicals and maps.
  

 

• Monthly programs of the Mason County Historical Society are held at the museum in downtown Shelton, and county-wide from Kamilche to Matlock, Lilliwaup to Belfair, where we visit historic sites and learn about Mason County history .
