by Howard D. Baumgart

This is the history of the 1895 lynching of the accused murders; Sam and Charles Vinson. The Vinson family had a stop in Mason County when they purchased a 160 acre track just outside of Allyn in 1890. The book is not only of the lynching itself, but also the biography of Sam and Charles including a chapter of their time in Mason County.
